DescriptionA sermon on "How true faith casteth out Slaveish fears." Boothby notes that the sermon was preached on "ye Day ye debutie was beheaded." This probably refers to the execution of Thomas Wentworth, 1st Earl of Strafford and Lord Deputy of Ireland, although he was executed on 12 May, not 14 May.

Other NoteNo Bible text is specified. The preacher is identified only as "Doc. Stanton." This is presumably Edmund Staunton (1600-1671), the only Stanton/Staunton in ODNB, AO (Foster), ACAD (Venn), or CCEd who was D.D. and whose dates make sense. Location unknown.
