Later published under the same title in the compilations "27 sermons preached by the ryght Reuerende father in God and constant matir [sic] of Iesus Christe, Maister Hugh Latimer, as well such as in tymes past haue bene printed, as certayne other commyng to our handes of late, whych were yet neuer set forth in print," (London: John Day, 1562); "Fruitfull sermons preached by the right Reuerend Father, and constant martyr of Iesus Christ, Master Hugh Latimer, to the edifying of all which will dispose themselues to the reading of the same. Seene and allowed according to the order appointed in the Queenes Maiesties iniunctions," (London: John Day, 1575), ff.103r-124r; and further editions thereof.

Other NoteThe presentation copy of this sermon is contained in BL Sloane MS 1460, which provides a more detailed description of the preaching. The scribe of said manuscript, John Dowglas, notes that the sermon took place on "the Secconnd Sonnday in Lente beinge the Secconde daye of Marche." The print editions do not give precise dates, making it difficult to verify whether the sermon took place on March 2 or March 10. Complicating matters, a consultation of the March 1550/1 calendar reveals that neither of these dates actually fell on a Sunday.
