Other NoteDate of birth unknown; ACAD (Venn) estimates 1634. Admitted to Trinity College, Cambridge on 1 May 1652, graduating B.A. in 1655/6. ACAD (Venn) says he was perhaps the vicar of Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire from 1655 to 1661; this appears to be confirmed by the funeral sermon for Bentley in West Yorkshire MS SH:3/S/9, in which John Lister refers to him as "Mr Daniel Bentley Minister at Sowerby Bridge".
