Other NoteBecause this sermon was preached at Sidney Hall (Sidney Sussex College), the most likely preacher with the surname Minshall is Richard Minshall, who was a long-time student of the college and eventually its master and vice-chancellor. Other clerics with the surname Minshall/Minshull active in the seventeenth century include John Minshall (ACAD: MNSL661J), B.A. Jesus College, Cambridge in 1664/5, M.A. in 1668, fellow from 1668-71, ordained deacon at Ely in 1670; and Christopher Minshull (CCEd ID: 32838,; AO), B.A. Oxford in 1577/8, M.A. in 1580, rector of Ashington-with-Buncton from 1582-1615, Earnley from1590-1602, and Coombes from 1602-1615, canon of Chichester from 1588.
