Other NoteReligious patron and correspondent of Richard Baxter. Precise date of birth unknown, but Gell was baptized on 11 March 1623/4. Daughter of the politician John Packer (1572-1649), who was a parliamentarian during the Civil War period. Katherine married John Gell (1612-1689), son of a parliamentarian commander of the same name. She lived at Hopton Hall from 1646 until her death sometime in 1671.
