Other NoteAird was born in Ayrshire. He graduated MA from Glasgow in 1642, and admitted to Dalserf before 3rd June 1646. He was elected as a minster of Edinburgh in 1649 but was not settled there. In 1651, he joined the Protesters and was appointed by Oliver Cromwell to oversee the Universities in 1654. He was also responsible for placing ministers in the Synod of Glasgow and Ayr. He died in March 1658 at the age of aprox. 57. He married in March 1647 to Isobel Rynd (d. October 1662) and had two daughters.
