Other NoteThe exact birth date of William Gannett is unknown. He matriculated at Exeter College, Oxford on 18 July 1684 at the age of seventeen, graduating B.A. in 1688. Gannett became vicar of Cloford, Somerset in 1693. He was instituted to the rectory of Podimore Milton, Somerset in 1707. Subsequently, Gannett became rector of Mells in 1719, and canon of Wells in 1722. He died in 1750.
