Other NoteRichard Parker was vicar of Dedham from 1582 until 1590. In 1586, he was suspended and threatened with deprivation for failing to subscribe to the Thirty-Nine Articles and for refusing to wear the surplice. He was secretary of the Dedham Classis; a manuscript volume relating to the activities of the Classis, largely written in his hand, survives as John Rylands Library, University of Manchester, Eng MS 874.
