Other NoteThere are several references to a Mr. Ambrose Lewis in "The Diaries and Letters of Mr. Philip Henry" (pp. 16, 40, 42, 44, 61, 65, 83, 89, 172). He is also mentioned in the ODNB entry for Philip Henry. Henry's diaries suggest that Henry shared a long friendship with Ambrose Lewis. According to the ODNB, the two organized "a monthly conference of ministers" in 1655. Lewis was then at Wrexham.
