Contents NoteA volume edited by Charles Lewis (d. 1836). It contains copies of pieces from the Elizabethan period and other periods. It was written in the second half of the 16th century in both Latin and English. The item on pp. 354-358 is catalogued as a sermon, but it is actually a letter concerning a sermon preached on Galatians 6:10. It is prefaced with this note: ‘Mr D. Mathues writing to my L. of Lecester having geuen of offence, in a sermon at paules crosse, concerning succession’, dated 1576.
