Material FeaturesAn octavo leather-bound volume embossed with in gold with the initials IL. A metal clasp with a star by it. Shorthand used extensively throughout. Paper slip pasted inside the front cover stating, “Notebook containing accounts and notes of sermons preached by the Redvs. Doctor Hooke, Roote, Fairbank, Paul Greenwood, etc. written by John and Samuel Lister of Upper Brea, 1662-1663”.
