GEMMS IDGEMMS-MANUSCRIPT-001487
TitlePresbyterian Miscellany
ShelfmarkMS 1092b
Creation Dateca. 1640 - 1660
Contents NoteMiscellany of six printed items, including 26 manuscript sermons on Acts 16, verses 30 and 31 (pp. 1-413). The sermons are grouped together without consistent numeration indicating where one ends and the next begins. The printed items suggest a Presbyterian context in mid seventeenth-century London.
Material FeaturesCalf binding, 17th c., re-backed. 194 x 150mm. Manuscript sermons are in mid-seventeenth-century hand. Sermons are ruled on all four margins, with the right margin very closely cropped. Many manicules in the margin. Occasionally, a marginal note in red ink indicates which numbered sermon begins there, but the practice is not consistent.
