Material FeaturesOne small pamphlet of 4 folios and a separate larger sheet, in different but clear hands. The larger sheet seems to be the first page of a presentation copy of a sermon, which has then been written on in reverse in a smaller hand, potentially that of the smaller pamphlet.

Provenance
AcquisitionPart of the Methodist Archives, which in 1977 were combined with the John Rylands holdings. The Methodist Archive was originally held at City Road Chapel in London, where manuscripts relating to the family were collected from shortly after the death of John Wesley in 1791. Over a period of 175 years the collection was regularly augmented by private collectors including Russell J. Colman and Edmund Sykes Lamplough, with the recent collection a composite of many deposits over the years.
