Contents NoteIncludes a fair copy by Benjamin Agar, page of the king’s chamber in ordinary, of notes on a sermon preached by James Montague, Bishop of Bath and Wells (ff. 142r-151r). The sermon was preached before King James I in 1615. The volume also includes a scribe's copy of poems and prose by Dudley North, 3rd Baron North, with his corrections (printed in A Forest of Varieties [1645]) (ff. 1-89); an Italian report on the election of Pope Urban VIII (ff. 90-139); and (ff. 156-231) a copy of Cardinal Bentivoglio's "Warrs of the Low Countrys' by Cardinal Bentivoglio" (published as The compleat history of the warrs of Flanders [1654]; verse in Crum) (ff. 156-231).
