Contents NoteThe manuscript is a notebook belonging to William Roberts, Bodwenni, Llanderffel, co. Merioneth, Wales. It contains transcripts of Latin texts with English translations (1681), and notes of three preachers: Mr. Jenkin Thomas, Mr. H. Owens, and Mr. Morg[an] Tho[mas], in addition to miscellaneous memoranda, accounts, etc. Dated materials in the manuscript range between 1681 and 1696.
Material FeaturesThe original calf binding is tattered and in very bad shape. The fly-leaf includes signatures of Roberts and several other names, as well as doodles, designs, and the date 1679. Most of the volume is in one hand. William Roberts's signature appears in virtually any available blank space.
