Contents NoteContains one sermon by Mr. Douglish, dated 1696, and several by James Webster, dated 1699-1701. The Webster sermons were formerly in five separate volumes. They were mainly preached at St Giles' Cathedral ("the high church") and the Tolbooth Church in Edinburgh.
Material FeaturesWebster’s sermons seem to be taken in the same hand, and a later hand has written occasionally in darker ink on all of the sermons. The hand of the sermon by Mr. Douglish is older, and the paper is brown and water-damaged. Worn biding with the title cited above on the spine pasted on. Unpaginated.
