Material FeaturesOctavo. Sewn on four raised bands. Late 17th-early 18th-century binding. The manuscript is in delicate condition. There are pen trials on the second flyleaf (recto). The St. Paul's Cathedral Library bookplate can be found on the inside front cover.

ProvenanceOn the first flyleaf (recto), the following has been written: 'Bought of E. Palmer Hon. London, 13/11/49. N. H. Black'. On the second flyleaf (recto), the following has been written: 'John Couelman his Book 1689'. John Couelman [Coleman?] may have been the scribe/notetaker as the signature matches the hand used within the notebook.

Other NoteOn the first flyleaf (recto), there is a key of 'abbreviations used in this book'. The first sermon has not been catalogued here as it was preached on 23 October 1720 (old-style) (fols. 1v-33v). In addition, the sermon on fols. 109v-113v has not been catalogued because it was preached in 1719.
