Contents NoteNine sermons written in one hand. An index at the beginning of the volume, somewhat faded and illegible, gives the titles of the sermons and the catechismal questions they address. A note reads, "In his book is contained a course of Sermons upon the Church Catechism". Every sermon has a title and a header, and is neatly set out with a wide margin to the left of the page.
Material FeaturesBound in velum. Foliation continuous from MISC:509/2. Faded towards the beginning of the volume. The hand is clear and neat.

ProvenanceThis volume is in the records of Oliver Heywood of Northowram, Minister, Joshua Horner of Halifax, Artist, and Reverend Amos Learoyd of Halifax. Oliver Heywood is the only named person who fits these dates, so presumably was the owner, the preacher, or both.
AcquisitionA book plate states that this volume was part of the Horsfall Turner Collection. A stamp states that it was presented to Halifax Public Libraries on 28 January 1971.
