Other NoteProceeded DD in 1617. In 1618 he became the Chancellor of Salisbury Cathedral. In 1629 he was chaplain to the English ambassador in Paris before proceeding to become dean of Chichester Cathedral the following year. He eventually became bishop of Peterborough in 1634.
