Other NotePrecise date of birth unknown, but Batt matriculated from Wadham College, Oxford in 1630 at age 17. After transferring to Emmanuel College, Cambridge, he graduated B.A. in 1634/5 and M.A. in 1638. He was lecturer at Ilminster, Somerset, 1643, and vicar of Creech St Michael, Somerset, 1652-1660. He was ejected from a living, possibly in Priston, Somerset, in 1662. He died sometime in July 1692.
