Other NoteBorn c. 1629. Became a member of the Barber-Surgeons' Company in 1655 and served as master in 1674-5. Served on the committee of the East India Company from 1666 until his death and was governor from 1674 to 1676, and from 1676 until his death. Elected as MP for Dartmouth in 1679 but died on 10 August of that year. Brother of Sir Joseph Herne (1633-1699).
