Other NoteBorn c. 1645 and died c. 1743. B.A. (1666/7) and M.A. (1670) from Clare College, Cambridge, and fellow there from 1671 to 1678. This Samuel Herne is most likely the preacher of a sermon preached before the Barber-Surgeons' Company in 1675 (MS. Rawl. E. 133), although it could also be Samuel Herne (d. 1680), rector of Stanford-le-Hope (CCEd [Person ID: 163900]).
