Other NoteBurroughs received an M.A. (1624) from Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He was ordained in 1622/3 whereafter he assisted Edmund Calamy the Elder at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Burroughs was rector of Tivetshall, Norfolk from 1631 until deprived in 1636. Then, from 1637 to 1641, he was minister of the English Church in Rotterdam. In 1641, he became a lecturer at Stepney, Middlesex. He also preached at Cripplegate. He was expository lecturer at St Michael Cornhill, London until his death in 1646.
