Other NoteLikely Edward Alexander (SI ID: 236) whose career dates and location (Kent) match associated sermon. Born ca. 1633 to Edward Alexander, a draper in Canterbury. Matriculated from Corpus Christi college, Cambridge in 1648. Migrated to St. John's and earned BA in 1651-2. Rector of Wickham, Kent in 1654; vicar of St Margaret's, Rochester in 1659. Ejected for nonconformity in 1662. He apparently continued to hold meetings in Rochester in 1665, but later was licensed as a Congregationalist and hosted a congregation at his house near St Martin Orgar, London in 1672. Continued to preach until his death, likely in Canterbury in 1682.
