Other NoteTurner was a banker who pursued a study of botany that led to the publication of various articles and botanical guides in the early nineteenth century. Later in life, he became a collector of books, manuscripts, and art works and published various works related to these interests. He sold much of his collection when he moved to London in the 1850s, including five volumes of manuscripts to the British Museum.
