Other NoteThe exact birth date of John Adams is unknown. He graduated B.A. from St. John's College, Cambridge in 1641/2. Possibly at Coppenhall, Staffordshire after 1651; rector at Stoke on Trent, 1655-1660; curate at Penley in 1663, and later Congregationalist minister there. In 1669, he led a Congregationalist conventicle in nearby Ellesmere, Shropshire. Philip Henry mentions him a couple of times in his diary, including his funeral (p. 225).
