Other NoteFl. 1696. Bear is mentioned by Joseph Keble as the preacher of a sermon at Gray's Inn in MS. Rawl. E. 210. In the index of authors his name is spelled "Beare". There are several preachers in AO (Foster) and CCEd named Bear/Beare who were active in 1696, and there is no indication of which one this might be in the manuscript.
