Other NoteWilliam Drinkwater's name is inscribed in BL Add MS 85464, and the inscription is dated 1668. This is most likely the William Drin(c)kwater (b. c. 1648) listed in AO (Foster) and CCEd. Precise date of birth unknown, but Drinkwater matriculated from Exeter College, Oxford in 1664/5 at age 16. B.A. (1668) from Exeter. M.A. (1671) from Hart Hall, Oxford. AO (Foster) notes that he was vicar of Mevagissey, Cornwall in 1677. CCEd notes that he was curate of Bentworth, Hampshire in the same year.
