Schoolmaster at Rivington Free Grammar School in 1626. Ordained in 1627. Probably curate of Ripponden, Yorkshire in 1630. Vicar / rector of South Kirkby, Yorkshire, ca. 1648-1662. Vicar of Bolton-le-Sands, Lancashire, ca. 1660-1664. Assistant minister at Kingston upon Hull, Holy Trinity, 1662 and lecturer there, 1665-1671. Vicar of Hooton Pagnell, Yorkshire, 1661-1662. At some point he was vicar of Sculcoates, Yorkshire. Prebendary at York Minster, 1671. Precise date of death unknown, but he was buried on 19 April 1671.
