Other NoteBorn sometime in October 1602. B.A. (1620), M.A. (1624) from Trinity College, Oxford and fellow there beginning in 1628. Convinced by a Jesuit to join the Roman Catholic Church in 1629, but he returned to the Church of England sometime in the early 1630s. Created D.D. in 1642. Became chancellor of Salisbury Cathedral in 1638, and also master of Wigston's Hospital, Leicester.
