Other NoteNicholas Onley matriculated at Christ Church, University of Oxford, graduating B.A. on 31 July 1658, and proceeding M.A. on 22 March 1661-2. In 1664, he was instituted to the rectory of Cottesmore, Rutland, and in 1670, he was canon of Westminster. From 1672, he was employed as Master of the Savoy and minister (and rector from 1683) of St. Margaret's, Westminster, succeeding Herbert Thorndike. He held these positions until his death on 28 September 1724.
