Other NotePrecise date of birth unknown, but Ramsden matriculated from Magdalen College, Oxford in 1607 at age 14. B.A. (1610/11) from Magdalen. Fellow of Merton College, Oxford in 1611, from which he also received his M.A. (1615) and B.D. (1623). Rector fo Methley, Yorkshire in 1618. Vicar of St John the Baptist, Halifax, Yorkshire from 1628 until his death in 1629.
