Biographical Sources ConsultedAO (Foster); ACAD (Venn) (ID: WLN617W); CCEd (person ID: 135511); notes attached to WYB263 produced by Norah Gurney (Archivist at the Borthwick Institute of Historical Research, 1966)
Other NoteGraduated BA from Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1621/2 and MA in 1625. Was ordained as Deacon in York in 1623 and Priest in 1625. Rector of Kirby Underdale, Yorkshire from 14 September 1631 to 30 May 1632. Prebendary of Southwell Minister from 15 September 1631. A preacher throughout the diocese of York. Gurney's notes also say that he was a curate at Balby, Yorkshire in 1625, although this is not listed in the GEMMS biographical sources. Died on 27 July 1635. Some sources identify him as vicar of Selston, Nottinghamshire in 1621 and rector at Cromwell, Nottinghamshire ca. 1631-1635, but ACAD (Venn) indicates that these sources have confused him with another William Williamson.
