Other NoteIn his notes on Bodleian MS. Rawl. E. 70, Richard Snoddy associates Mr. Alders with "St Joan," Cambridge (possibly misconstruing St John's College?). The notes clearly state "St. Joan". However, ACAD (Venn) does not list anyone named "Alders" in St John's at the time of the associated sermon. One possibility is John Alders (b. c. 1617) of Emmanuel College, Cambridge (ACAD [Venn] ID: ALDS635J). There is also a John Alders who was ordained in 1646 listed on CCEd (Person ID: 139929). Another possibility is William Aldus, a preacher based in Suffolk who was incorporated at Cambridge in 1613 (AO [Foster]).
