Other NoteSamuel Lancaster Laidman was born in 1835 at Bootle, Lancashire, and educated at Durham University. He was ordained at the age of twenty-four, and became vicar of Christ Church, Barnton, on 21 April 1877. He founded the Barnton Cricket Club in 1880. Lancaster Laidman died on 12 April 1897.
