Other NotePrecise date of birth unknown. Son of Roger Kenion, born in Park Head Whalley in Lancashire. He attended school in Manchester, and then was admitted to St John's College, Cambridge in 1649 at age 19. He graduated BA in 1652, MA 1656, and BD in 1663. He was made a fellow in 1653. He was rector of Slaidburn, Yorkshire from 1659 to 1660 and Prestwich, Lancashire from 1660 to 1668. He was married at Prestwich on 16 May 1663 to Anne Holland, the daughter of Richard Holland, and had a son, Edward Kenyon, born in 1681. He died on 15 July 1681 and was buried at Prestwich.
