Other NoteBorn at Turton, Lancashire and baptised at Bolton on 19 March 1629/30, son of Francis Isherwood. Schooled at Rivington and admitted to Christ's College, Cambridge at the age of 17 on 2 June 1646. Gained his BA in 1649. Appointed minster at Westhoughtons, Lancashire in 1651, and curate of Turton in 1663. He was ordained as a deacon and priest at Chester on 10 August 1662. He held a post at Bradshaw Chapel in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire. He was minister at Flixton, Lancashire from 1664 to 1715. Buried at Eccles, Lancashire on 8 May 1715. Brother of Thomas Isherwood (ACAD Venn ID: ISRT647T).
