Other NoteBorn in London to William Johnson and Priscilla (née. Leman). Matriculated at Queens' College, Cambridge in Easter 1627, graduating BA in 1630, MA in 1634 and D.D. in 1661. He was ordained a priest at Peterborough in 1639 and was the sub-almoner of Westminster Abbey from 1639 to 1640. He was the rector at Warboys, Huntingdonshire in 1647-1667. He was the archdeacon of Huntingdon in 1666-1667 and prebend of St Paul's from 1666-1667. He died on March 4 1666/7 and was buried in Westminster Abbey.
