Biographical Sources ConsultedWithout more information, it is impossible to identify this Mr. Ramsden with certainty, although Henry Ramsden (AO [Foster]), with ties to Lincoln College, Oxford, might be the preacher named in MS. Rawl. D. 315.
Other NoteRamsden receives the following note: "Mr Ramsden at Carfaux." This could be a reference to Carfax, Oxford, the centre of the city. St Martin's Church was located at the corner of Carfax. Perhaps Ramsden preached at St Martin's.
