Other NoteThe son of John Boylston of Staffordshire, Boylston went to school at Repton in Derbyshire. He was admitted to Christ's College, Cambridge in 1626, and graduated BA in 1629/30. He then migrated to Jesus College, Cambridge in 1632/3, where he graduated MA in 1633. He was fellow at Jesus until 1645, graduating B.D. in 1640 and D.D. in 1656. He was vicar of All Saints' Church in Derby from 1632 to 1653 and 1662 1671, rector of Weston-upon-Trent, Derbyshire from 1661 to 1678, and rector of Market Bosworth, Leicestershire from 1671 to 1678. He was a prebendary at Lichfield from 1661 to 1678. CCEd says that he had a post at St Alkmund Church in Derby in 1665. He had two sons, Joseph (Venn ID: BLSN681J) and Septimus (BLSN686S). He was buried in Bosworth on 14 June 1678.
