Other NoteA note in CCEd suggests that these two John Greaves (Person IDs 44428 and 44429) are the same man, and the entry on ACAD (Venn) provides more information. Greaves was born in Nottingham, the son of Humphry Greaves. He was admitted at the age of 17 to Christ's College, Cambridge in 1647, receiving a B.A. in 1651 and an M.A. in 1660. He was curate of Tissington Chapel in Bradbourne, Derbyshire in 1662, preacher of the same from 1663 and curate at the Tissington Chapelry school in 1665. He was rector of Whitwell, Derbyshire from 1673 to 1690.
