Other NoteJohn Pritchett's birth date is unknown. He matriculated at Queen's College, Oxford at the age of eighteen on 12 December 1623. He subsequently graduated B.A. from St. Edmund Hall on 30 January 1626/7, proceeding M.A. on 11 June 1629. He became Rector of Bratoft, Lincolnshire in 1634 and Rector of St. Andrew Undershaft, London in 1641, holding the latter post until 1664. He became Rector of Harlington, Middlesex in 1661, another post held until 1664. In 1662, Pritchett was Canon of St. Paul's, and in 1664, he was Vicar of St. Giles Cripplegate, London. Finally, Pritchett became Bishop of Gloucester in 1672. He died on 31 March 1681, and is commemorated with a monument at Harefield Church, London.
