Other Notefl. 1648-1650. BL Catalogue identifies him as chaplain of Serjeant's Inn, but GEMMS biographical sources do not list anyone with that name in that post. Possibly John Ridley, vicar of Preston-next-Faversham, Kent, 1617-1642, whose career nearly aligns with the associated sermon. BA from King's College, 1617, MA, 1622. In addition to his post at Preston, Ridley was curate of Oare, Kent in 1622 and preacher throughout dioceses of Rochester, Chichester, and Canterbury.
