Other NoteBL Cataloguer identifies him in Add MS 45672 as Dissenting minister at Thornton, Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire. There is only one entry for a Richard Whitehurst in GEMMS biographical sources. Thornton is not listed as a career location, but this person was active in Yorkshire at the same time. Vicar of Askham, Westmorland in 1658, then of Laughton en le Morthen, Yorkshire, 1659-1660. Ejected, but remained there despite the Five Mile Act. Licensed as a Congregationalist in Westhall-in-Hatfield, Yorkshire in 1672. Seems to have relocated to Bridlington ca. 1679 and ministered there until his death on 5 September 1697.
