Other NoteLikely from Scotland, he studied at St Andrew's before being incorporated at Cambridge and graduating MA in 1635. Subsequently vicar of Otley, West Riding of Yorkshire and Head Master of Otley Grammar School, 1652-1653. CCEd also person with this name who was ordained in Yorkshire in 1626 after having graduated MA from Edinburgh, suggesting that this was a different person than the preacher in Add MS 45672.
