Other NoteBorn in Bradfield, Yorkshire, the son of Christopher. He was baptised 15 June 1631. After being schooled at Wakefield, Yorkshire he was admitted (aged 18) to St John's, Cambridge on 8 September 1647. He gained his BA in 1652/3 and MA 1656. He was ordained in 1658 and then became vicar of Kimbolton, Huntingdonshire until 1675 when he became rector of Babworth, Nottinghamshire. From 1681 he was vicar of St Peter and Paul, Sheffield, Yorkshire. He married Anne, the daughter of John Allott and was incorporated at Oxford in 1666. He was buried at Bradfield on 8 September 1703.
