Other NoteDate of birth unknown; ACAD (Venn) estimates 1595. Laurence earned a B.A. in 1616/7 and an MA in 1620 from Trinity Hall, Cambridge. He was ordained in 1621 and was perhaps perpetual curate of Leeds in 1622-1624. He served as rector of Silk Willoughby, Lincolnshire from 1627 to 1647. He was probably part of the Ipswich Class in 1645. He is presumably the Matthew Laurence of Ipswich whose will was proven in 1662.
