Other NoteBorn in London in 1648/9, the son of the merchant Thomas Lambe. He was educated in Hackney and Charterhouse, and admitted at the age of 15 to Sidney Sussex College on 30 December 1664. He gained his BA in 1668/9, MA in 1672 and DD in 1693. He was ordained as a deacon at Ely in 1670 and as a priest at Lincoln in 1673. He was rector of Wheathampstead from 1693 until his death. He was also Chaplain to William III and Dean of Ely from 1693 onwards. He had two known sons Charles (b. 1685) and Henry. He died on 10 August 1708.
