Other NoteThe eldest son of Theophilus Dorrington, Clothier, he was baptised at St Mary-le-Bow, London. Schooled at Merchant Taylors' and Bearden. He was admitted at to Sidney Sussex College on 19 December 1670. He became a Presbyterian preacher, and held a post at Magdalen College from 1686. He was rector of Hopton Castle from 1687 and Wittersham Kent from 1699 until his death. He was given his MA by decree in 1711. He died on the 30 April 1715.
