Other NoteBaptised 23 October 1619. Son of James Sale of Pudsey, West Riding of Yorkshire. Attended schools of Collier in Bradford and Doughty in Wakefield before matriculated from Christ's College, Cambridge in 1636. BA, 1639/40. Assistant minister to Elkanah Wales,whose daugher her married, at St John's, Leeds, 1649-1662. After ejection, he was a dissenting preacher in Lincoln as well as Thornton and Pudsey, West Riding. Licensed as a Presbyterian 15 May 1672 to teachin in his home, the Free School House, and the home of James Moxon, Leeds (10 June). Died 17 April 1679.
